How does Computacenter’s India development center foster innovation in the country?

Our main development centre is in Bangalore. This acts as a microcosm of our operation in the UK. It drives various IT Infrastructure services with the highest service quality and efficiency using automation. The center provides key support to global functions and ensures excellent client delivery locally and internationally and is responsible for Professional services and managed services across all areas of operation. The curious culture and a standard framework coupled with Idea portals, Hackathons & a solid Innovation council ensure we listen to all ideas operationally and strategically to drive continuous improvement in our day-to-day operation and offerings.

How does Computacenter help customers navigate complexities in the multi-cloud journey and achieve agility in India?

As per a study conducted by NASSCOM and Boston Consulting Group, 80% of the IT companies and GCCs in India are most likely to adopt a hybrid work model as compared to the rest of the industry segments. With the rise of a hybrid work environment in India, we are tapping into multi-cloud delivery bundled with networking, cloud, data center management, and cyber security. We seek to build long-term partnerships with our current customers and partners to help them navigate the complexities of the cloud.

How do you address the security concerns in a cloud-dominant world where a hybrid work environment prevails?

In the past two years, we have witnessed a surge in digitization, as organizations started adopting a hybrid work model to continue their business operations seamlessly. However, with technology empowering businesses to run remotely, it also opened an avenue for cyber-criminals to attack organizations faster. According to Ponemon Institute’s Cost of a Data Breach Report 2022, Indian businesses lost an average of $2.21 million (Rs 17.6 crore) in 2021 to $2.32 million (Rs 18.48 crore) this year due to data breaches. Therefore, it is crucial for businesses to not see cybersecurity as a luxury but as a must-have.

Keeping the technological requirements of businesses in mind, we provide end-to-end security solutions which comprise various elements of cybersecurity. As answered in the previous question as well, we help businesses in assessing their current cybersecurity infrastructure and update their defense capabilities.

What Support do you offer to large clients, specifically when it comes to service desk operations, client’s workplace, networking, cloud, and datacenter environment set-up?

We provide IT Infrastructure services across Consulting, Implementation and Managed services in

Digital workplace that includes Field Engineering (Hands and feet Datacenter & End user support), Next generation Service desk, End-user Collaboration services & platform support across Modern device management, Virtualization etc.

Cloud and Datacenter support that includes Physical Datacenter technologies, Private, Public and Hybrid cloud platforms.

Network and Security support that includes routing, switching, firewalls, load balancers, proxies etc.

How is Computacenter helping its customers embrace a hybrid work culture?

The pandemic outbreak has pushed businesses globally to accelerate their digital transformation and adopt the new hybrid work environment; the same has been true for Indian businesses. Companies in India are embracing the latest IT infrastructure and cloud technologies to ensure that employees can continue to work seamlessly in a remote or hybrid environment. Therefore, it is imperative for them to have robust and secure cloud support.
